You need: boxy T-shirt + Dritz hook & eye fasteners.
It’s hard to believe that this sassy look comes together in just about 30 minutes, but it’s true. A big boxy T-shirt turned dynamite corset top is ultra easy to achieve – brand new Dritz hook & eye fasteners are responsible for this transformation. See how to do it …
Here are the key ingredients: a standard T-shirt, and Dritz hook & eye fasteners.
To start, you will hand sew the hook & eye fasteners onto two excess strips of T-shirt fabric (the strips used for this project were actually hems of another T-shirt that were in the scrap bin). Line up the fasteners as shown, so that they match up.
Next, you’ll pin the strips in place on the front of your T-shirt, and then sew them in place. Once attached, you’ll fasten the hooks & eyes to create a corset effect on the T-shirt.
It really is that easy – and doesn’t it look so cool? A really unique way to make a boxy T-shirt into a flattering top. Jump over to Trash To Couture to see more details about making this corset T.
