Before you get started, get to know a bit more about the Dritz® key fob hardware sets. You can purchase them in a 1-set pack or a 5-set pack, depending on how many you are going to make. Each fob “set” has two pieces: a split-ring and a clamp. They have a nickel color finish. |

As far as the other materials go, you’ll be using Dritz® glitter elastic and belting. Both the elastic and the belting come in a variety of colors, so check them all out, and mix and match as you like! |

Let’s start constructing those glitter key fobs!
1) Cut a 10″ length of belting and glitter elastic for each fob that you’re making. 2) Apply the glue stick to the back of the glitter elastic strips and center them on the belting. |

3) Using a denim machine needle, edgestitch along all sides of the elastic. Backstitch at beginning and end of stitching. |

4) Fold the belting strips in half. Stitch short ends together with a zigzag stitch, backstitching at beginning and end of stitches.
5) Trim any excess threads and apply Fray Check® liquid seam sealant to the ends of the belting and elastic. |

6) Insert belting into key fob clamp. Close clamp as much as possible with fingers. Cover the clamp with fabric and squeeze firmly with pliers. (The fabric will prevent the pliers from making scratches on the hardware.) Tug to make sure belting is secure. |
