1) Place the 2 fabric pieces on top of each other, right sides together. Stitch one of the short ends with a ¼” seam allowance.
Press the seam open. |
2) On the wrong side, fuse the iron-on shirring tape along the center of the fabric following the package directions. Leave ½” unfused at each end. |
3) Pull the strings out of the tape about 1” from each end. |
4) Cut off the ends of the tape near the strings. Fuse tape ends if needed. |
5) Fold the fabric in half lengthwise, right sides together. Pin. Stitch along the length of fabric leaving the short ends open. Backstitch at the beginning and end of stitches. |
6) Use the quick turn fabric turner to turn the fabric right sides out. |
7) Pull the strings to gather the tube to 28” long. Knot strings and clip the ends. |
8) Fold the short raw edges in ½” on both ends. Pin and stitch across the opening 1/8” from edge. |
9) Install a grommet at each end of the fabric tube following the package directions. Center the grommets ½” down from each end. |
