Pucker up!
Here’s a holiday craft that’s a true winner: it’s easy, looks fabulous AND is guaranteed to fetch a smooch or two. To DIY a festive kissing ball, you’ll use a floral hole punch and scrapbook paper to make the flowers. Then, you’ll secure them with Dritz® petite pearlized pins. Hang it with some ribbon, and voilà – you’re done!
These are the supplies you’ll need to make one kissing ball:
Dritz® sewing supplies:
Other supplies:
- 2″ Styrofoam ball
- Sheet of scrapbook paper*
- 1″ floral hole punch
- Ribbon
- Scissors

2) Once all your flowers are punched, begin pinning them one at a time to the Styrofoam ball. Layer and stagger each flower on the ball and secure each flower with a Dritz® petite pearlized pin. (These pins are the perfect pin for a project like this, because they’re short!) |

Standard length Dritz® pearlized pins are a great option, too, you’ll just need to trim them with wire cutters first. |

3) When the entire ball is covered with flowers, remove one flower and pin set. Then glue a length of ribbon to the bare spot. While the glue is still hot, insert a tidy pin.
Then, replace the flower and pin set to cover the tidy pin. |

These are so easy, you’ll want to make more than one. We used a variety of scrapbook papers and pin colors, and then hung the balls in a cluster. What a statement! |
