Introducing Samarra Khaja’s new book, and a bunch of smiles.
Hello friends! It’s our day on the Sew Adorkable blog hop & book tour and we’re pumped! We really had no idea when we joined the tour that it would be such a blast. First, we picked our sewing project … TRAWRzers. (Isn’t it fun to say??) We like the TRAWRzers because they are so cozy, and because kids totally love them. Put a pair on and you can’t stop grinning. Or dancing. As Samarra says, “put some in rotation for a roaring good time!” (We totally agree!)

What a delight it was to dig into Sew Adorkable – we found ourselves giggling halfway through the introduction. Literally. Samarra’s new book is not only filled with super unique DIY projects, the instructions are really fun to read. (Stressing the really.) If your sewing projects are needing an injection of spirit, or a dose of quirk, this is the book for you. It’s chic geek at its finest! |

Who can resist these? Weekend day. Loungy day. Any day! Sew Adorkable provides complete instructions for making these TRAWRzers from either your favorite sewing pattern or a store-bought pair of PJs. |

The dinosaur scales are what really make these guys fun – patterns for all 3 kinds of scales are included in the book. (Like the fabric? We amplified the cuteness factor of the TRAWRzers using a bunch of super fabrics from Timeless Treasures.) |

Cozy pants call for a comfortable waist, so we hacked a pair of the TRAWRzers using our Dritz® soft waistband elastic. Good idea, huh? |

Dance moves are not included with the book, but fear not! TRAWRzers will have you movin’ and groovin’ in no time. GREAT BOOK = GREAT FUN!! |

my son is a huge dinosaur fan so transforming his pjs to TRAWRzers would make bedtime more fun!

Personally, I’d like to make some TRAWRzers to wear to quilt retreats, as well as around the house. But I’m thinking it would be fun to make some for everyone in the family, as well as gifts.

Hmmm…my niece with the crazy fun personality would wear them to the grocery store, the park, church (yikes), playgroup, the library, the zoo, every restaurant and probably even to bed. Yep, I know she’d love them and never take them off!

My little boys (3 and 6 years old) would have so much fun wearing these. I can see them bringing fun to jammy time every night.
