Celebrate National Sewing Month.
I’m a bodkin. You need me to easily insert elastics and cording into casings or waistbands. I also come in handy if you’re weaving ribbon and trims. And if you’ve got a young one who wears pants with buttonhole elastic, you can use me to retrieve the elastic if it slips inside the waistband. Give me a try, I’m a pretty handy sewing supply to have around!
Instructions for using the Dritz bodkin to insert elastic or cording:
- Slide its ring down toward the loop to open it.
- Insert elastic or cording between the teeth of the tweezers.
- Slide the ring back toward the teeth to tighten the bodkin.
- Slip bodkin into case to insert elastic or cording.
I’m easy to use for retrieving elastic as well.
