The new Dritz Home faux leather handle sets each come with a handle, 2 washers, and 2 Chicago screws. A Chicago screw is a semi-permanent threaded fastener. It consists of a screw post with internal threads and a threaded screw cap.

The handles come in a variety of styles and colors to complement current home decorating trends. The short handles are 5.5” long and the long handles are 10” long.

For any installation, your material must be ¼” to 3/8” thick to use the short Chicago screws that come with each handle. Use foam interfacing, fleece interfacing, or batting to add thickness when necessary. Note that the interfacing can be used to give the entire project body (as with these fabric boxes), or just behind the Chicago screws (see tip below).

The faux leather handles can be used as a decorative touch to add interest and texture. In some cases, they add function as well (for example: to pull boxes or baskets in and out of a shelf or a cubby, or when applied to functioning drawers).
