Old kid sweater turned hip & cozy house shoes.
What a super cool upcycle. Really. Who doesn’t have a constantly growing “kid-giveaway pile” stashed somewhere in the house – aren’t there always clothes that are ready to pass along? But here’s an idea: sort through that pile periodically and make sure there’s not a hidden upcycle waiting to happen. An outgrown kid’s sweater combined with Dritz® Espadrilles soles is one such gem. Check it out!
|The idea for this upcycle is from Laura at Trash To Couture. Laura wanted some cozy shoes to wear around her studio, so she wouldn’t have to wear her socks with flip flops anymore (we can’t blame her!).|
|She found a sweater that one of her kids had outgrown, and paired them with our Dritz® Espadrilles soles to make a pair of DIY sweater boots.|

|In addition to an old sweater, you’ll need the Dritz® soles, yarn, needles and elastic.
You can also make DIY espadrilles using fabric, suede and faux fur. Check out all of our Dritz® Espadrilles inspiration, education and fitting information and think about what you might like to make – lots of options!
